Primeros Auxilios Pediatricos y CPR para Proveedores

Esta capacitación brinda a los participantes el curso aprobado de Primeros Auxilios Pediátricos, CPR y DEA de ocho horas a través de la Cruz Roja Estadounidense. Esta capacitación cumple con los requisitos para proveedores de cuidado infantil de California, incluida la parte de CPR y primeros auxilios del Título 22 de California y EMSA para proveedores de cuidado infantil.
Esta capacitación está abierta a los participantes de los condados de San Benito, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz y Monterey.
- El entrenamiento será en español

Preventative Health and Safety Training

This FREE training will provide participants with the EMSA-approved eight-hour California Preventative Health and Safety Practices training (with nutrition and lead poisoning prevention) required for child care licensing.
This training is open to San Benito, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, and Monterey Counties participants.
- This training will be held virtually in English
- Training is divided into 2 days (Wednesday & Thursday)
- Participation on both days is required to receive a training certificate
- This training requires your camera to be on and actively participate during the entire training. If you cannot be present with your camera on and can not participate, you will not receive a certificate of completion for the training.
- Workforce Registry ID number required to complete registration
- **If you do not have a Workforce Registry ID, you must create a Workforce Registry profile by visiting: https://caregistry.org.

Opening a Family Childcare Home – License Overview
May 2025 (Free, English, & Virtual)
This training provides a basic overview of the application process for a family childcare home license. You will gain a better understanding of important personal considerations to make before starting the application process, receive an overview of the license application requirements, and learn more about the services the R&R program offers for prospective applicants. This session is intended for anyone interested in learning about the requirements to apply for the family care home license and the responsibilities required for operating a home-based childcare program.
CCIP is a state-funded program focused on increasing the number of quality, licensed family childcare providers. Family childcare could be a great career choice if you enjoy caring for young children and want to work from home. This FREE program provides training and support to individuals interested in starting a family childcare home business.
• One registration per participant is required
• Training will be held virtually using Zoom
• Registered participants are not admitted to the training 15 minutes after the start time
• If you have a Workforce Registry ID number, you can receive training hours for this session

Pediatric First Aid & CPR for Childcare Providers

This training provides participants with the American Red Cross-approved, eight-hour Pediatric First Aid, CPR, and AED course. This training meets California childcare provider requirements, including the CPR and First Aid portion of California Title 22 and EMSA for Child Care Providers. This training is open to San Benito, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, and Monterey Counties participants at no cost.

- One registration per participant is required. Only registered participants will be allowed

Family Child Care at Its Best: Setting the Stage for Social Competency
May 2025 (Free, English, & Virtual)
This Family Child Care at Its Best workshop helps you use a preventative approach to challenging behavior and plan activities that promote pro-social skills. Learn specific strategies, using the environment and adult-child interaction, to facilitate friendship and build community.
FCCB workshops are intended for licensed and license-exempt child care providers, family, friend, and neighbor providers, and other providers who care for children in mixed-age groups. Workshop content is centered on children ages birth - five, in home care settings. Workshops do not fulfill pre-licensure requirements and provide ECE units.
Participants will take a preventative approach to challenging behavior and plan activities that promote pro-social skills. Participants will learn specific strategies, using the environment and adult-child interaction, to facilitate friendship and build community. Topics include: social-emotional guidance, the use of social stories, California’s Preschool Learning Foundations, and building a sense of self. The Center for Excellence in Child Development supports a holistic approach to preparing children for school, recognizing that young children learn through play and through relationships with caring adults. The School Readiness series blends research-based knowledge with the teaching skills needed to guide young learners.

Abrir un cuidado infantil de hogar: resumen de aplicación
Mayo 2025 (Gratuita, Espanol, y Virtual)
Esta capacitación proporciona un resumen básico del proceso de solicitar una licencia para un hogar de cuidado infantil familiar. Obtendrá un mejor entendimiento de las consideraciones personales importantes que debe realizar antes de comenzar el proceso de solicitud, recibirá una descripción general de los requisitos de solicitud de licencia y obtendrá más información sobre los servicios que ofrece el programa de R&R para posibles solicitantes. Está sesión está dirigida a cualquier persona interesada en conocer los requisitos para solicitar la licencia de hogar de cuidado familiar y las responsabilidades requeridas para operar un programa de cuidado infantil en el hogar.
El programa CCIP es un programa financiado por el estado que se enfoca en aumentar el número de proveedores de cuidado infantil familiar con licencia y de calidad. Si le gusta cuidar niños y quiere trabajar desde su casa, el cuidado infantil familiar podría ser una buena carrera profesional para usted. Este es un programa GRATUITO que brinda capacitación y apoyo a las personas interesadas en comenzar un negocio de cuidado infantil familiar.
